What is cast on this plate

The title श्री दुर्गा बीसा यंत्र is cast across the top and the Navarna mantra runs along the bottom: ॐ ऐं ह्रीं क्लीं चामुण्डायै विच्चै नमः. It is the nine syllable mantra of Chamunda, the one recited through Durga Saptashati. The whole figure sits inside the bhupura with its four gateways.

Hand cast, not stamped

Each plate is cast by hand in India, then hand finished. The ground is stippled by hand so the raised lines and lettering catch the light, and the rim is filed and polished after the pour.
