This is a peacock-shaped mukhwas and dry fruit bowl with a matching spoon, finished in two-tone gold and silver and packed in a red velvet gift box. It holds saunf, mishri, supari, kaju or badam and suits a coffee table, a pooja corner or a Diwali gifting list. The peacock's raised neck forms the handle, and the fan tail is engraved with floral panels that alternate gold and silver.

Why the peacock

The mor has a place in almost every Indian home. It is Kartikeya's vahana, and its feather sits in Shri Krishna's crown. A peacock piece on the table carries that sense of grace and celebration without needing to say it. It is also why peacock serveware is one of the most loved gifts for Diwali, weddings and griha pravesh.

What you get

• 1 peacock bowl, approx. 15 cm x 12.5 cm
• 1 matching engraved spoon
• Red velvet gift box with brass-tone latch and satin lining, 16 cm x 16 cm

Finish: gold and silver plated metal with engraved floral and feather detailing.

How to use it

Fill the lower half with after-meal mukhwas - coloured saunf, mishri and a few elaichi - and rest the spoon on the rim. For guests, try a single layer of kaju, badam and kishmish. During pooja it works as a small prasad bowl for mishri and elaichi, or for akshat and kumkum on the thali. Keeping it about half full lets the engraving show.

Caring for the finish

Wipe with a soft dry cloth after use. Avoid soaking, the dishwasher and abrasive scrubbers, which can dull the plating. Serve dry items only, and store it in its velvet box to keep the shine.

A Diwali gift that arrives ready

Because it comes boxed, there is nothing to wrap. It is a thoughtful pick for Diwali visits, Bhai Dooj, Karwa Chauth, housewarmings and corporate gifting, and it sits well with the rest of our spiritual and Diwali gifts.

Frequently asked questions

What is a mukhwas bowl used for?

It holds after-meal mouth freshener like saunf, mishri, dhana dal or supari, served with a small spoon. Many families keep one on the dining or coffee table for guests.

Can I use it for dry fruits?

Yes. It holds a generous single layer of kaju, badam, kishmish or pista, which is ideal for guests during Diwali and other festivals.

What size is the bowl?

The bowl is approximately 15 cm x 12.5 cm and comes in a 16 cm x 16 cm velvet gift box.

Is it real silver?

No. It is not solid silver or gold. The gold and silver tones are a plated finish over a metal base.

Can I put wet food or sweets in it?

We recommend dry items only. Wet or oily food and long soaking can mark the plated finish over time.

Does it come gift-ready?

Yes. Every bowl comes with its spoon in a red velvet box with a latch, ready to hand over.

Can I use it in my pooja?

Yes. It works as a small prasad bowl for mishri and elaichi, or for akshat and kumkum on your pooja thali.

Can I order several for corporate or return gifts?

Yes. Message us on WhatsApp with the quantity you need and we will confirm stock and delivery timing across the UAE.
