This is an all-white pearl toran for your door: a fringe (jhalar) of pearl strings that falls into soft triangles along a pearl and gold band, about 95 cm wide.

Every triangle point is finished with small gold bead drops, so the whole piece reads white and gold, calm and elegant. It is the toran to choose when the rest of your decor is already colourful, or when you want something that stays up all year.

For your home in the UAE

In an apartment corridor in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman, the front door is the one surface that is fully yours to decorate, and a toran is the traditional way to mark it for the festival. White pearl suits the neutral corridors of most UAE apartment buildings and catches the light beautifully at night.

Because it is not fresh flowers, it will not wilt in the heat or shed on a shared landing, and it packs away for next year.

Frequently asked questions

What size is it?

It is about 95 cm wide across the top band, which suits a standard single front door, a mandir door or a cabinet arch. Measure your door frame first if it is narrower than that.

How do I hang it?

Hang it from two small hooks or nails at the ends, just above the door frame. In a rented flat, removable adhesive hooks keep the wall clean and come off without marks.

Are the pearls real?

No. These are decorative pearl beads, the same finish used on festive torans and bridal decor. They keep their shine year after year and need no special care.

Is it only for Diwali?

No. A toran is hung for Diwali, Navratri, Grah Pravesh, weddings and pujas, and many families keep one on the main door all year as a welcome for Lakshmi and guests.

Can I keep it up after Diwali?

Yes. Its white and gold colours are neutral enough to stay on the main door all year, and many families keep a pearl toran up as a standing welcome for Lakshmi and guests.

How quickly will it arrive?

It is in stock at our UAE warehouse and ships straight away. Delivery across the UAE usually takes 1-2 days, and orders over AED 30 ship free, so it reaches you in time for Diwali.

How do I store it after the festival?

Lay it flat in a box with soft tissue between the strings so they do not tangle, and keep it away from damp. Dust it gently with a dry soft brush and keep water and perfume off the beadwork.
