The Lakshmi Kuber Dhan Potli is a complete Diwali and Dhanteras wealth puja kit for your home tijori. It brings together a 24K gold-plated Shri Sampurna Kuber Lakshmi Yantra, a brass Shree Yantra soop, pyrite Ganesh and Lakshmi, a Shubh Labh coin card and the traditional Lakshmi offerings, all in one maroon gift box with a step-by-step vidhi card.

You perform the puja on Diwali night, then the soop and offerings go into the red potli and stay in your tijori, locker or cash drawer for the year. The yantra stays on your mandir for daily darshan. One kit gives you something to see every day and something to keep.

What is a Dhan Potli?

A dhan potli is a small cloth bundle of sacred Lakshmi offerings - kauri, gomti chakra, kamalgatta, supari and haldi - that is worshipped during Lakshmi puja and then kept with the family's wealth. Many families tie one on Dhanteras or Diwali and refresh it every year, so the blessings of the night stay close to where money is kept.

This kit adds Kuber to the ritual. Mahalakshmi brings abundance, Kuber guards and keeps it, and Ganesh is worshipped first so prosperity comes without obstacles. You can read more about how the two deities differ in our guide to Maa Lakshmi and Kubera Dev.

What is inside

• Shri Sampurna Kuber Lakshmi Yantra - 24K gold-plated, 9 x 9 cm, in a clear plastic frame, carrying Lakshmi, Kuber, the Shree Yantra, the Kuber Yantra and the Shubh Labh number square. Kept on your mandir all year.
• Brass Shree Yantra Soop (Murum), 5.5 cm - a miniature winnowing fan with the Shree Yantra engraved on its floor, the vessel for your first offering.
• Pyrite Ganesh and Pyrite Lakshmi - two oval pyrite keepsakes (4 x 2.5 cm each) in a Divine Sansar velvet pouch.
• Shubh Labh Lakshmi Ganesh Coin Card (8.5 x 5.3 cm) - for your wallet or tijori.

• Vidhi card - the full ritual with a set-up diagram and the Ganesh, Mahalakshmi and Kuber mantras in Devanagari and English transliteration.

Everything arrives in a maroon gift box, 20 x 20 cm, laid out in its own compartments so nothing shifts in transit.

How to use it

Place the yantra on your mandir, with the soop on a puja thali in front of it and pyrite Ganesh and Lakshmi on either side. At your Lakshmi puja muhurat, offer one kauri, one gomti chakra and one kamalgatta into the soop with a pinch of akshat, arrange the rest around it, apply chandan kesar and kumkum tilak and chant each mantra 11 times. The next morning, the soop and offerings go into the potli and the potli goes into your tijori. The vidhi card in the box walks you through every step.

Next Diwali, open the potli and refresh the offerings. The soop, yantra, pyrite and coin card are yours to keep year after year.

Frequently asked questions

When should I do the Lakshmi Kuber Dhan Potli puja?

Most families do it on Diwali night during the Lakshmi puja muhurat. You can also begin on Dhanteras, and some families do it again on Akshaya Tritiya.

Do I need a pandit to use this kit?

No. The vidhi card explains each step, shows you how to set up the puja and gives all three mantras in Devanagari with English transliteration, so you can do the puja yourself at home.

Where should I keep the potli after the puja?

Keep it in your tijori, locker, cash drawer or wardrobe locker. The yantra stays on your mandir, and the coin card can go in your wallet.

Can I reuse the kit next year?

Yes. The yantra, brass soop, pyrite Ganesh and Lakshmi and the coin card are keepsakes. Each Diwali you refresh the offerings in the potli and offer the old haldi, supari, kamalgatta and akshat to a plant pot or a tree.

Is the yantra real gold?

The yantra is 24K gold-plated and comes in a clear plastic frame. It is a puja yantra for worship and display, not a gold coin or bullion.

Is this a good Diwali gift?

Yes. It arrives in a maroon gift box ready to hand over, and it suits family, a new home, a new business or anyone starting their own Diwali traditions in the UAE.

Is the ratti safe to have at home?

Ratti is safe to keep and handle in its closed box. It must never be eaten, chewed or crushed, so keep it away from children and pets.
