What it is made of

The base is a stiff woven gold lace with mirror work and a scalloped pearl edge. Two evil eyes in blue, white and pink sit inside large pink beaded lotuses, and the corner lotuses each carry a small mirror nazar ringed with pearls over white beaded petals.

The centre is a domed pearl medallion with a stone at its heart, flanked by two pink silk-thread lotuses edged in sequins. The latkans are wrapped pink silk with gold stripes, small mirror caps and pearl strings.
