What is an MDF rangoli board and how do I use it?

An MDF rangoli board is a reusable die-cut stencil. Place it flat on the floor, fill the cut-out openings with rangoli colour powder using a spoon or your fingers, tap the edges gently, then lift the board straight up. The design stays on the floor and the board is ready for the next one.

Which size should I choose, 12 inch or 4 inch?

A 12 inch board makes one centrepiece rangoli for a pooja corner, living room or entrance side. The 4 inch sets come as 4 pieces, ideal for small motifs like Laxmi Charan footprints, diyas or lotuses around a mandir, along a wall or beside a larger rangoli.

How much rangoli colour do I need?

It depends on how many shades you use and how thickly you fill. Most 12 inch designs look best with 3 to 5 colours, so a multi-colour set is the easiest start - our 10 Rangoli Colour Powder Bottles give you ten shades to mix and match across several designs.

Can I reuse the rangoli boards every year?

Yes. Brush off the powder after each use, wipe with a dry cloth and store the boards flat. Keep them away from water, as MDF can swell if it gets wet.
