Nirjala Ekadashi Specials
Nirjala Ekadashi 2026 - Everything for the Vrat, Delivered Across the UAE
Nirjala Ekadashi falls on Thursday, 25 June 2026, with parana (breaking the fast) on the morning of 26 June. It is the most revered of all 24 Ekadashis - observed without food or water - and dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Tradition holds that keeping this one vrat carries the merit of all Ekadashis in the year.
This collection brings together everything you need to observe it at home in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or Ajman: the Satyanarayan kit and frame for Vishnu puja, Tulsi mala for japa, yellow aasan and chandan for the ritual, and the small samagri that complete it. Free delivery across the UAE on orders above AED 30.
What to keep ready for the vrat
A simple Nirjala Ekadashi setup centres on Lord Vishnu. Most homes use:
- A Vishnu or Satyanarayan frame as the focus of the puja
- A Tulsi mala for chanting "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya" - Tulsi is dearest to Vishnu
- A yellow aasan and yellow cloth - yellow is Vishnu's colour
- Chandan kesar for tilak, kapoor and a diya for aarti
- Panchratna, kamalgatta and supari for the sankalp and offering
- Fruit, water and tulsi leaves to offer, and for parana the next morning
How devotees in the UAE observe Nirjala Ekadashi
Begin with a sankalp at sunrise on 25 June. Through the day, devotees keep a waterless fast where health allows, chant Vishnu naam on the Tulsi mala, and read or listen to the Satyanarayan or Ekadashi katha. Offer water, fruit and Tulsi to Vishnu.
Parana is done after sunrise on 26 June. UAE timings differ slightly from India, so follow your local Dubai sunrise for the exact parana window. Those who are unwell, elderly, pregnant, or on medication traditionally keep a partial fast with fruit and water instead of a full Nirjala vrat.
