Simple Recipe for Halwa/ Seera for Prasad

The Satyanarayan Puja is a very popular ritual in many states of India, and it is incomplete without offering the special Suji Prasad to the Lord. The Suji Prasad is made in different styles in different places, but this recipe offers a delicious and authentic version that can easily be made in the comfort of your own home.

Simple Recipe for Halwa/ Seera for Prasad

Satyanarayan Prasad Sheera is a traditional sweet dish from India that is typically made as an offering to Lord Satyanarayan during the Satyanarayan Puja ceremony.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of fine semolina
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of ghee
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 tsp of cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp of chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large pan, heat the ghee over medium heat.
  2. Add the semolina and stir constantly until it turns golden brown.
  3. Add the sugar, milk, and water to the pan and stir well.
  4. Add the cardamom powder and chopped nuts (if using) and mix well.
  5. Cook the mixture for a few minutes until it thickens and starts to come away from the sides of the pan.
  6. Remove from heat and transfer it to a serving bowl.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
