History of Maharana Pratap
Almost soon following his coronation, the Rajput emperor found himself in combat when Akbar, the Mughal emperor, arrived in Mewar to establish a reliable path to Gujarat. Maharana Pratap declined to submit to the Mughal emperor Akbar, even though the latter offered him the opportunity to become a vassal. The renowned Battle of Haldighati resulted from this.
Man Singh I of Amber headed the soldiers of Akbar against Maharana Pratap, prevailing in a bloody three-hour fight fought in a tiny mountain pass because Maharana Pratap’s forces were outnumbered. However, their triumph was deemed pointless as they were unable to apprehend Maharana Pratap or any other royal family members. Later, the Maharana spearheaded a comeback and drove the Mughals out of various regions.
